On this site "esure" and "we" means the members of the esure group of companies, Bank of Scotland, St Andrew's Group plc and HBOS plc Group companies. "You" and "my" means the user of this site.

Jurisdiction
If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate on any dispute between us. If you live in Scotland, the courts of Scotland will have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate on any dispute between us.
Loans provider
esure loans are provided and arranged, subject to status, by Bank of Scotland, City House, Chester, CH88 3AN. Registered in Scotland, No. SC327000. Registered Office: The Mound, Edinburgh, EH1 1YZ. You must be at least 18 and a UK resident (excluding the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland) to apply. The APR will vary depending on the amount of your loan. APR and repayment details are correct at the time of the site going live. Certain purposes of loan may be excluded or have limited repayment periods, please call 0845 123 8592 for details. A guarantor may be required. The rate you are offered will depend on the amount you apply to borrow, on our credit assessment procedures, your personal circumstances and other related factors. Rates apply to internet applications only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. These rates are available for a limited period of time only.
We charge interest in the period between the start of your loan and your first monthly repayment. As security for your loan, we have a right of set off. This means that if you do not keep to this agreement, we may deduct any money you owe us under this agreement from a credit balance on any other account you have with us, or if there is more than one of you, any one of you has with us, including an account you have jointly with another person. You have not given us any other security.
24-hour delivery is only available if you opt for our courier service and arrange your loan by 3.30pm. Delivery may take longer in outlying areas or for evening or weekend applications. If you choose the optional courier service a fee, which is currently £50 will be payable one month before your first monthly repayment. This additional fee is subject to change at any time and the up-to-date fee will be notified upon application.
Payment protection insurance
To qualify for Creditcare payment protection insurance, you must be between 18 and 65, a UK resident and in work. As with all insurance schemes there are some exclusions but these have been kept to a minimum. All insured customers will receive a copy of the policy which contains full policy details and details of the claims and complaints procedures. A copy of the policy is also available on request.
Creditcare is arranged by Bank of Scotland and underwritten by St Andrew's Life Assurance plc (Registered No 3104670) (England) and St Andrew's Insurance plc (Registered No 3104671) (England) ("the Companies"), St Andrew's House, Portsmouth Road, Esher, Surrey, KT10 9SA. St Andrew's Life Assurance plc and St Andrew's Insurance plc are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Bank of Scotland, St Andrew's Life Assurance plc and St Andrew's Insurance plc are connected companies as all are HBOS plc group companies. Telephone calls to St Andrew's may be monitored or recorded to assist with staff training and for quality control purposes. You may contact St Andrew's using TypeTalk, simply call 18001 0870 9052146.
Bank of Scotland is permitted by the Financial Services Authority to sell and administer general insurance contracts. You can check this on the FSA's register by visiting the FSA's website www.fsa.gov.uk/register or by calling the FSA on 0845 606 1234.
You will not receive advice or a recommendation on the suitability of Creditcare. You must read the information provided to help you decide whether Creditcare is suitable for your needs.
If your loan is regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974, you can settle your loan agreement at any time by giving us written notice and paying us the amount you owe under the loan which may be reduced by a rebate. If you have opted for our no early settlement fee loan there are no charges for repaying the loan early. If you have taken out payment protection insurance, provided that you have not made a successful claim, you may also be entitled to a part refund of the premium. This will not be calculated proportionately but in accordance with the Rule of 78 (details of this formula are available on request), this will be used to reduce the settlement figure on your loan. A compensatory charge of £75 will be deducted from the amount of this refund. If you would like examples of how much premium may be refunded please write to us.
