Home insurance administration fees

We may charge an administration fee when you cancel your policy or make changes to your policy details. Most insurers charge administration fees and part of the reason for this is that if they didn't, the costs associated with people who make frequent adjustments would be borne by all policyholders.

We review our fees on a regular basis to ensure that they remain in line with the market. The current scale of fees that apply to your policy are as follows:

Transaction type Fee Effective date
For cancelling your policy during the 14 day cooling off period £20 25/05/2011
For cancelling your policy during your first period of cover £55 03/04/2009
For cancelling your policy in subsequent periods of cover £35 03/02/2014
For changing your policy details where there is a change in premium £20 25/05/2011

Full details and the fees applicable to your policy, as well as your right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your policy documents at no charge can be found in your Policy Schedule and  Policy Booklet for policies taken out or renewed before 5th November 2016. For policies taken out or renewed on or after this date please refer to Your Agreement with esure Services Limited for details of fees chargeable by esure Services Limited in relation to your policy.

Please refer to your Policy Schedule for the correct fee if your policy was taken out before the dates shown in the table above.
