Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

 

1. Who can enter

1.1 To be eligible to enter the Prize Draw entrants will need to have:

(A) An existing esure home or motor insurance policy; and

(A) have clicked to subscribe for esure marketing

2. How to Enter

2.1 In order to enter the Prize Draw, eligible participants must click to sign up to esure marketing using the ‘yes please’ button in the prize draw email.

3. When to Enter

3.1. The prize draw will close on 1st March 2017.

3.2. No purchase is necessary. A maximum of one entry per person is permitted, and the email may not be forwarded. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

3.3 The prize draw is only open to residents in England, Scotland and Wales aged 18 or over, excluding employees of esure Services Ltd and anyone professionally connected with the administration of the prize draw.

3.4 Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.  Incomplete or illegible entries, by or via third parties or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted.  If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that participant’s entries into the prize draw in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the promotion, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.

3.5. The Promoter (see clause 9 of these Terms and Conditions) reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify entries which it considers do not comply with these terms and conditions or any participant who it reasonably believes has interfered with the fair running of this Prize Draw.

3.6. The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age, and other relevant details of a participant.

4.Prizes

4.1. There will be one winner who will be selected at random by an automated computer programme within 5 working days of the closing date of the prize draw.

4.2. The prize for winning the draw will be a £100 cheque made payable to the winner.

4.3 The winner will be contacted within 14 days of the prize draw closing. The Promoter will send up to four emails over 14 days to ask for the winner’s full name, policy number, email address, county and postal address to send the prize to. You must provide accurate contact details on notification of winning. If you do not respond with this information within 14 days of the Promoter first contacting you, then you will no longer be eligible for the prize.

4.4 The prize will be despatched by post within 14 working days of winner confirming their contact details.

4.5 The Prize is not transferable.

4.6 By entering the competition, entrants accept these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.

5. Data Protection and Publicity

5.1. By entering this competition you consent to the Promoter’s and its agents’ collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your prize and to contact  in relation to future marketing.

5.2. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. By entering the Competition, you agree that the Promoter may contact you in relation to the Prize Draw and for marketing purposes.

6. Competition Rules

6.1. The prize draw winner will be randomly selected by a computerised randomiser.

6.2  The winner’s last name and initials and county will be available on request to those sending a stamped, addressed envelope to GDPR Prize Draw, Marketing, esure, The Observatory, Castlefield Road, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 0SG, within 3 months of the closing date.

6.3. We reserve the right to change the Competition rules and these Terms and Conditions from time to time, however we will contact you in these circumstances.

7. Liability and Indemnities

7.1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

8. Jurisdiction

8.1. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law. England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
