1. Who can Enter
1.1. To be eligible to enter the competition participants will need to be aged 18 or over and be an esure policyholder/joint policyholder with a current and valid esure Motor, Home or Travel insurance policy (“Customer”). Individuals who are named on another individual’s policy are not eligible. The Promoter’s decision on eligibility shall be final.
1.2. esure Flex customers are not eligible to enter
1.3. The competition is only open to Customers who reside in England, Scotland and Wales, excluding employees of the Promoter (see clause 9 of these Terms and Conditions), their families, its affiliated companies, distributors, agents and anyone professionally connected with the administration of the competition.
1.4. Internet access is required to enter.
1.5. By entering the competition, participants accept these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.

2. When to Enter
2.1. The competition will open from 00.01 30th June and closes at 23.59 on 31st July 2022.

3. How to Enter
3.1. In order to enter the competition, eligible participants must, within the competition time frame under clause 2, send an email to [email protected] with their full name and the missing word from Brake’s campaign slogan ‘Every child has the right to make xxxx and healthy journeys’.
3.2. Entries that are not made by email will not be accepted.
3.3. A maximum of one entry per eligible Customer is permitted. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
3.4. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries, by or via third parties or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that participant’s entries into the competition in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the competition, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize won will be void.
3.5. The Promoter (see clause 9 of these Terms and Conditions) reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify entries which it considers do not comply with these terms and conditions or any participant who it reasonably believes has interfered with the fair running of this competition.
3.6. The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age, and other relevant details of a participant.
3.7. By entering the competition participants confirm that they are eligible to do so and eligible to win the prize.

4. Prize
4.1. The prize for winning the competition will be one 12” Black and White Shaun the Sheep Soft Toy.
4.2. The prize is as described, non-negotiable, and non-transferable. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or any alternative option.
4.3 There will be 1 winner in total who will be selected within 5 working days of the closing date of the competition.
4.5. The winner will be contacted by the email address they used to submit entry within 14 days of the competition closing.
4.6. The Promoter will attempt to contact the winner by email up to four times over a period of 14 days to ask for the winners’ full name, policy number, email address and full postal address. The winners must provide accurate contact details on notification of winning. If any winner does not respond with this information within 14 days of the Promoter first contacting them, they will no longer be eligible for the prize. If any winner is no longer eligible, a new winner will be selected from a list of reserves drawn at the original time.
4.7. The prize will be sent by Royal Mail special delivery within 28 days of receipt of the winner’s details.

5. Data Protection and Publicity
5.1. By entering this competition participants consent to the Promoter and its agents’ collection, retention, usage and distribution of their personal information in order to process such personal information, contact the winners about their prize and/or deliver the prize to them.
5.2. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. The Promoter shall seek consent from the winner in order to do the following:
5.2.1. promote/announce the winner on our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter) by using Customer name and if possible tagging in to Customer social media profiles; and/or
5.2.2. in accordance with clause 6.2, provide details of the winner to those who request it; and/or
5.2.3. request testimonial comments from the winner for the Promoter to use for marketing purposes.

6. Selecting Winners
6.1. The competition winner (who will be chosen from eligible entries who answered correctly) will be randomly selected by a computerised randomiser.
6.2. Subject to clause 5.2.2, the last name and county of the winner will be available on request to those sending an email requesting this to [email protected] with ‘esure June 2022 Edition Newsletter Competition winners’ in the subject line, within 3 months of the closing date.
6.3. The Promoter reserves the right, where necessary in order to continue the availability of this competition, to change the competition rules and these terms and conditions. The Promoter will always have the most up to date terms and conditions on its website and in the case of a discrepancy between these terms and conditions and those on the website, the website terms and conditions will apply. Continued use of the website will constitute acceptance of the new rules and/or Terms and Conditions.

7. Liability
7.1. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
7.2. The Promoter shall not be liable or responsible for any expenses incurred by the winner over and above the prize offered.
7.3. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that aren’t received or are received incomplete, late or unreadable due to defects, failures or non-availability relating to electronic communications or for any other reason.

8. Jurisdiction
8.1. The competition and these terms and conditions are governed by English Law. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.

9.1. The Promoter is esure Services Limited, which is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 02135610). Its registered office address is at The Observatory, Reigate, Surrey RH2 0SG. It is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (reference number 312063). esure is a brand of the Promoter. The Promoter is part of the esure Group of companies.

10. Severability
10.1. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
