Fords are popular cars, and with so many affordable models available it’s no surprise–from the humble Fiesta to the family friendly Ford Focus. Their cars offer something for everyone, and with customers all over the world, Ford has established itself as an international brand.

How did Ford become affordable?

The Ford Motor Company was founded by Henry Ford over 100 years ago. He pioneered the assembly line method, enabling him to produce cars on a scale never seen before, making them more affordable to the general public. To this day the Ford company is still run by the Ford family, and is one of the largest automotive companies in America.

Does esure offer third party only insurance?

No, the lowest level of cover we offer our customers is third party, fire and theft . This insurance would protect your car if it was stolen, or damaged by fire, but it wouldn’t be covered if it was damaged in an accident.

Taking your Ford to Europe?

If you’re planning on taking your Ford on a road trip around Europe we offer European car cover. Just let us know in advance, and we can arrange for you to have the same level of cover you have in the UK–if you want to do this, a foreign use charge will apply. For more information please visit our European car cover page.

How much would I be expecting to pay for a Ford car insurance quote?

There isn’t a straightforward answer to this unfortunately, as it depends on many different factors. If you’ve bought a higher spec Ford such as a Kuga you will probably get a higher Ford insurance quote when compared with a Ka quote–one reason for this is that a Kuga has a larger engine and some parts are more expensive. Where you live and leave your car at night could also affect what you pay. If you parked your car in a garage or on your driveway, your insurance could be cheaper as your car is less accessible to thieves–and  the risk of your car becoming damaged is reduced.

Ford Car Insurance groups?

We insure plenty of Ford models, so have pulled together a list of the insurance groups popular Fords fall into. Of course we can’t mention every Ford we insure so if your car isn’t on the list, it doesn’t mean to say we won’t insure it. Get a quote today to find out how much you could save.
