esure Refer a Friend Terms and Conditions

The esure Refer a Friend promotion (the “Promotion”) is being promoted by esure Services Limited (“esure”) which is registered in England and Wales with number 02135610. Its registered office address is at The Observatory, Reigate, Surrey RH2 0SG. It is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (reference number 312063).

esure are using Buyapowa Limited of Unit 3, The Glasshouse, Royal Oak Yard, London SE1 3GE (“Buyapowa”) to help with the administration of the Promotion. They will process referral requests on behalf of esure and generate referral links which can be sent by existing customers of esure (“Referrer/s”) to their Friends and Family (“Friends”).

esure are using Invitation Digital Limited of First Floor, Merchants House North, Wapping Road, Bristol BS1 4RW (“Giftcloud”) to provide the Rewards. They will facilitate the fulfilment of any rewards earned by the Referrer/s on behalf of esure and send reward emails to the Referrer/s.

1. Who can take part and refer?
1.1. Referrers must be existing esure or esure Flex policyholders, either Motor or Home, at the time of the Referral.
1.2. The Promotion is not open to Sheilas’ Wheels or First Alternative policyholders.

2. What must Referrers do?
2.1. The Referrer must register their name and email address at www.esure.com/refer-a-friend.
2.2. Once registered Referrers will be allocated a unique web link to share with Friends.

3. How the referral process works
3.1. esure will share Referrer’s name and email addresses with Buyapowa and, should they become eligible for any rewards, Giftcloud.
3.2. Buyapowa will share Referrer’s first name and surname with the Friends and send them the links. Giftcloud will contact the Referrer with details of how to claim the Reward. Personal data will be processed in accordance with esure’s Privacy Notice: www.esure.com/privacy and in accordance with UK data protection law.

4. Who can be referred as a Friend?
4.1. Referrers must only share the link with friends and family who might be in the market for a new car insurance policy before 31st August 2024, and would be interested in hearing from us.
4.2. Friends must be over 18 and resident in England, Wales or Scotland. esure does not offer insurance in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.
4.3. Friends who already have a Motor or Home insurance policy with esure are excluded.
4.4. Referrers can’t refer themselves.

5. What must the Friend do?
5.1. After the link has been shared Friends must use it to make a Qualifying Purchase and register their details before 31st August 2024.
5.2. A “Qualifying Purchase” is the online purchase of an esure Car Insurance or esure Flex Car Insurance policy directly from esure using the referral link. The Friend must use the referral link and then return to the same page, again using the link, to enter their policy number once the purchase has been completed. The purchase must be made between 16th July 2024 and 31st August 2024 and must remain live for a minimum of 21 days.
5.3. None of the following count as a Qualifying Purchase:

  • Purchases of multicar policies
  • Purchases of travel policies
  • Purchases of home policies
  • Purchases made via a Price Comparison Website
  • Policies purchased but then cancelled before their start date
  • Policies that are cancelled within 21 days of their start date


5.4. Every Qualifying Purchase is conditional upon esure being willing to insure the Friend and the Friend complying with the Terms and Conditions of the motor policy including the requirement to pay premium when due.
5.5. esure is not obliged to issue a motor policy to a Friend.

6. How are rewards delivered to the Referrer and what conditions apply?
6.1. Within 68 days of a Friend making a Qualifying Purchase , the Referrer will receive an email to claim their reward of a £20 eGift (“Reward”).
6.2. esure are using Invitation Digital Limited of First Floor, Merchants House North, Wapping Road, Bristol BS1 4RW (“Giftcloud”) to provide the Rewards. The email will be sent by Giftcloud using the email address used by Referrer to register for the Promotion.
6.3. The link to claim your reward will be sent via email and is only valid for 90 days of the email being sent.
6.4. Rewards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

6.6. Contact esure at [email protected] for any queries relating to Rewards stating your full name and esure policy number.

7. What incentive is there for Friends?
7.1. Friends making a Qualifying Purchase will be eligible to enter into a prize draw to win the price of their yearly premium back which will be subject to its own Terms & Conditions.

8. General rules
8.1. Rewards are not negotiable or transferable. There is no cash alternative.
8.2. Any Referrers suspected of fraud or distribution to individuals who are not Friends or Family will be disqualified.
8.3. The Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other esure offer or promotion.
8.4. esure reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Promotion and to change these Terms and Conditions at any time without giving prior notice. Referrers shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms if they continue to take part in the Promotion after any amendment or change to these Terms & Conditions. esure will not enter into any correspondence relating to these matters.
8.5. esure reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify Referrals which it considers do not comply with these Terms and Conditions. Rewards associated with disqualified Referrals will be cancelled. esure will not enter into any correspondence relating to disqualifications or cancellations.
8.6. esure will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the reward, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
8.7. esure accepts no responsibility for Referrals not successfully completed or received due to a technical fault, malfunction, computer, phone, network or telecommunications failure or any kind.
8.8. esure shall not be liable or responsible for any expenses incurred by a Referrer in relation to this Promotion.
8.9. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English law. The courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
